Stage-Gate Checklist

What it's for​

A stage-gate checklist scoped to a hierarchy node. Instantiate a published pack (Aerospace NASA SE Handbook §6, Product Dev AIAG/INCOSE, Stakeholder Validation) or a custom template you forked. A readiness dashboard (Readiness % · Checked/Total · Auto-passing · Blockers) sits above items grouped by category; node-grounded auto-checks resolve AUTO PASS/FAIL on their own, and you check or waive the rest before signing off the gate.

When to use it​

At each formal design gate (PDR, CDR, TRR…) to prove readiness against a standard.

How it works​

  1. Select a System Hierarchy node (required — the checklist is scoped to it). → A node is needed so the auto-checks can probe that node’s artifacts; Create stays disabled with a hint until you pick one.
  2. Choose a source — a Published pack (pick Pack + Gate) or one of your Custom templates. → Gate options read “GATE — name (N items)”; custom templates come from the Templates page (fork a pack, edit its items). Click Create checklist.
  3. Work each item — Check it, or Waive it with a reason; expand it for evidence and discussion. → Auto-checks stamp AUTO PASS / AUTO FAIL from real node artifacts; evidence rows deep-link to the source tool, and each item has a comment thread. Readiness %, Checked/Total, Auto-passing and Blockers update live.
  4. Filter by discipline and Sync auto-checks as artifacts change. → The “Show” select filters EE / LE / ME; Sync auto-checks recomputes every item against the latest node artifacts.
  5. Sign off the gate (owner) — whole-gate or per-discipline; optionally Enforce gate. → Sign off records the readiness percentage; a Chief EE/LE/ME can sign off their discipline independently; Enforce gate blocks the node’s gate-advance while Blockers remain.
