Parts Finder
Real, in-stock DigiKey parts, ranked and saved to your node.

What it's for
Finds real, in-stock parts from DigiKey and ranks them, then saves the choice as a versioned, hierarchy-linked artifact. Two modes: a Voltage-Divider Pair finder (ranks R-top/R-bottom pairs with tolerance stack-up to hit a target output within ±X%) and a Single-Part finder (resistor, capacitor, MOSFET, diode, crystal…).
When to use it
Whenever you need a specific, orderable component that meets parametric constraints.
How it works
- Pick a tab — Voltage Divider Pair or Single Part. → The pair finder takes Vin, Vout, target error % and package sizes; the single finder takes a part type, target value and max tolerance.
- Search and rank. → Live DigiKey results come back ranked by closeness (pairs include the E-series tolerance stack-up); you’ll get an error if no pair meets your ±X% on Vout.
- Save the chosen part/pair to a hierarchy node, then Push to BOM. → Save creates a versioned PartsChoice; Push to BOM appends traceable rows to the node-matched BOM (“✓ BOM is linked to the same hierarchy node”).
Mechanics
- Real, in-stock DigiKey catalog (not AI-estimated)
- Voltage-divider pair finder with E-series tolerance stack-up
- Single-part finder across a part-type registry
- Save as a versioned, node-linked PartsChoice · Push to BOM
- Seeds from a saved voltage-divider Calculation (?calcId)
